As part of their Cook Badge, this week Beavers learned about healthy snacks, and when high energy snacks should be eaten (eg half time during a football match, on a long walk or a run etc). They then made some delicious chocolate brownie bites.

Here’s the recipe if you want to try them at home!

90g Oats

3tbs cocoa powder

Blitz to a powder.

Add 8 medjool dates (if using dried dates pre soak in hot water and use 9-10). Add some water and blitz again. Add more water if necessary.

Once all blitzed together, roll into balls.

To stop them being sticky you can coat them in more cocoa powder.
